Year 2 Teacher Sandy

A lower school in Sandy are looking for a full time Year 2 teacher for a long term role starting in November. This will be a maternity cover and will run until July. The right candidate will assume all teaching responsibilities including planning and preparing, parent's evenings and associated extra-curricular activities.

The school is two-form entry and the right teacher will work in conjunction with the other year two teacher and the key stage leader to create a stimulating and productive working environment.

The school would like the appointment to be made by the end of September therefore allowing the new teacher the opportunity to shadow the incumbent for the last couple of weeks before half term. The school would like all applications to be in place by Friday 26th September at the latest with interviews commencing the following week.

The Requirements:

As the successful Year 2 Teacher you will need to;
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of education.
- Have the ability and experience of teaching Year 2.
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary.
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
- Possess the passion to teach Key Stage 1.
