X3 Transformers & HV Components Manager

A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for 3 Transformer & HV Components Managers to work within various UK and German offshore wind farm projects. Our client is looking for 3 individuals who can start this 24 month freelance contract from 4th January 2016 and to end approx. 31st December 2017 with the possibility of a further 3 month extension. This is a full time role working 5 days per week, 8 hrs in average a day.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To be responsible for the handling of the supply contracts for HV Components (transformer, switchgear, Harmonic filters, HV reactors).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that the project HV/MV is delivered safely on time, quality and within scope and budget
- Work to the clients standard solutions and guidelines and current standards, to ISO9001
- Ensure that the HV/MV equipment is specified design wordings and produced according to relevant standards for example IEC
- Take part in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation
- Ensure that the best technical practices are implemented
- Ensure hand-over of agreed documentation to O&M and OFTO
- Comply with and enforce the clients HSE requirements/policy

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum BSc EE or similar
- 4-5years practical as well as theoretical experience within electrical HV/MV components in onshore/offshore substations
- 4-5 years experience as a project engineer (technically skilled, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, decision-making and planning

The Consultant must bring his/her own mobile telephone.

Onshore works: The client will provide office facilities available to the Consultant including office space and a PC
