X2 Service Engineers - PLC / Siemens Exp - NW

Huxley Associates have an urgent requirement for x2 service engineers (electrical bias) to be based in Cheshire on a permanent basis.

Role: To install, commission, service and repair a wide range of both food/pharma packaging machinery.

Requirements:
A suitably qualified electrically biased service engineer with some mechanical experience. History of control and instrumentation involvement with extensive knowledge on both HMI's and PLC's.

Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens equipment would be an advantage.

Use or experience with AutoCad or a similar draughting tool would also prove useful

Self motivated and enthusiastic; the candidate must be able to work as a team member but be equally proficient working without supervision and to apply initiative as necessary. Good communication skills are also desirable. Close involvement with both the Sales and Project departments will be required to ensure smooth transitions between enquiries and end sales.

Good telephone communication skills will be advantageous to deal with customer enquiries relating to both engineering and possible future sales.

Travel is required on a day to day basis so the candidate will need to carry a full clean UK driving license.

When not traveling, the position will entail assisting workshop based engineers to meet deadlines on new and rebuilt equipment prior to installation. Encompassed in this will be an element of guarding, repair and fault finding.
In addition, work will be carried out to meet all EU legislation with respect to CE marking.

Areas covered: Customers based mostly UK including Ireland with occasional trips to Europe.

Training: Training will be offered on all applicable machinery during the initial period of employment. Any further training that becomes necessary will be provided by the company including any relating to health and safety either on or off site.

Position: This position will be part of an eleven man team, three of which are based at workshops. The remaining eight personnel are road based under the direct control of the Service Supervisor. When working on the site the control is shared by the Service Supervisor but is primarily under the wing of the Project Engineer who are both governed by senior management.
