Workplace Engineer (Operation System WinXP, Win7) - contract - Switzerland

My client, a well known financial consultancy are currently looking for a Workplace Engineer in Bern (Switzerland) for a 3 months contract up to 12 months extension possible!

It is planned that the settling-in period onsite has a duration of 2-4 weeks and the rest of the project is remote/offsite!  The candidate would build a Team of mx 8 people.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Engineering & 3rd Level Support of automatic Operating System Installation/Configuration:

- Researches in Internet and newsgroup about known technical issues, technological information, feasibility, etc.
- Hardware Driver Full Integration
- Hardware Driver Integration
- Creation of complex scripts in Visual Basic Script (VBS)
- Example: login scripts
- Creation of simply scripts in Visual Basic Script (VBS)
- Creating of EXE-based tools in C #, Visual Basic or C + +
- Failure analysis/troubleshooting on a client (HW Driver software)
- Result: Solution or further information for the causes or solution
- Creating documentation/manuals/specifications
- Analyse of Microsfot Operatin System/Application dumps
- Design of simply Client Group Policies
- Design of complex  Client Group Policies sets

SKILLS:

- Fluent English, written and spoken
- HW Driver Installation/automation
- Operating System (WinXP/Win7, Win7embedded) Deployment/Imaging/Unattended Setup, Thin Clients, VMWARE, VDI
- MCSE/MCSA
- Visual Basic/C#
- Visual Basic Script (VBS), Power Shell
- Group Policy (GPO), Login Scripts
- Windows OS Memory Dumps/Bluescreen Analyses
