Windows System Administrator

On behalf of our client, an international leading pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are currently seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator. The position will be in Basel and is a full time contract position, starting ASAP until the end of the year with option to extend.

In this challenging role your main responsibilities would be:

- On-going administration of company's server infrastructure
- Support and accountability for system administration of projects
- Implementation and post installation responsibilities (ie technical consulting to user community )
- Support global Users in terms of requirements, troubleshooting and migration activities and be accountable for providing the user community with technical product information.
- Direct involvement in planning and definition of new system requirements (feasibility/performance studies)
- Improve system environment and services
- Design, configuration and execution of change management related tasks

The ideal candidate brings the following in terms of Education/Experience:

- Relevant technical education (graduate of a Technical University or similar)
- Documented experience in system administration
- Relevant expertise in Windows systems
- Good knowledge of virtual environments (HyperV/ESX)
- Previous Scripting expertise (PowerShell)
- Willingness to work in a large, international team
- Fluency in English
