Windows System Administrator

OUR DIRECT CLIENT IN MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OH IS IN NEED OF AN WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR TO FILL A 6-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION. YOU\'D BE JOINING A TEAM THAT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING DISTRIBUTED ENVIRONMENTS AND THE UNDERLYING WINDOWS SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE THAT HOSTS OUR CLIENT\'S BUSINESS APPLICATIONS. PROJECTS WOULD INCLUDE CAPACITY MANAGEMENT, SERVER SET UP AND CONFIGURATION, SOFTWARE/APPLICATION DEPLOYMENT, SERVER BASED WORKLOAD SCHEDULING, ENHANCING MONITORING SCRIPTS, GRANTING SECURITY ACCESS, ETC. YOU\'LL BE WORKING CLOSELY WITH APPLICATION TEAMS AND THE CENTRAL TECHNOLOGY GROUP TO IMPLEMENT VARIOUS INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTIONS. EXPERIENCE WITH MAINFRAME AND/OR DISTRIBUTED ENVIRONMENTS WOULD BE A BIG PLUS.

Overtime: straight time

- Experience with server configuration, software installation and supporting a large Windows server environment
- Experience in troubleshooting Windows 2000/2003/2008 Servers issues (event logs, perfmon, IIS log, IIS configuration, Windows authentication)
- Ability to learn technical tasks quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be self-driven
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
