Windows Server Administrator (Citrix)

THE ROLE

Working within the Infrastructure Team, the Windows/CITRIX Server Administrator is accountable for the configuration, deployment, maintenance and administration of windows-based server platforms and associated infrastructure within the business systems environment. The position also deals with day-to-day level 2 and 3 service desk requests, as well as providing advice on windows upgrades, design and configuration.

Primary skill sets for this position include the ability to undertake CITRIX and VMware virtual server support.

THE PERSON

To be suitable for this role you will have a demonstrable strong technical background in CITRIX infrastructure (Xenserver, Xenapp, Xendesktop & Netscaler), Windows Server 2003, 2008R2 and VMWare as well as demonstrable competency in Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange 2010. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are necessary to be able to clearly document and provide advice on technical configurations.

You should hold industry certifications for CITRIX, Windows Server and VMware software. It is desirable that you possess an IT related degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.

You will be a strong team player and be required to interact with other teams within the Business Systems group on a regular basis.

An appreciation of guidelines/procedures for configuration management and internal controls in information management is essential and you will display the ability to lead innovation and change.
