Windows & Linux Server Support

We are the leading IT outsourcing company seeking WINDOWS & LINUX SERVER SUPPORT for a CONTRACT TO HIRE opportunity with one of the world's top corporations. For this position with a world-renowned computer manufacturing company, you will be performing a wide variety of server support activities in a large-scale, high-performance computing environment. This position is part time, approximately 20 hours a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Analyzing desktops, hardware, software, and operating systems
- Performing backups, archives, and recoveries
- Building machines from scripted images
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues
- Creating/maintaining documentation
- Working with vendors for warranty issues

REQUIREMENTS:

- 4+ years related work experience
- A+ REQUIRED
- Solid network administration and troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with a variety of hardware platforms running Linux operating systems
- Server-level administration skills with Windows and Linux (or other UNIX flavor)
- Knowledge of TCP and networking principles
- Centos and SuSe experience
- Hardware client support experience
- Workstation and Server support experience
- Basic troubleshooting, customer engagement, ability to work independently, good communication skills
- Ability to work an 8am 5pm shift Monday- Friday
- MUST BE ABLE TO PASS 10 YEAR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN
- Physical requirements of position: able to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
