Windows and Linux Server Support

FOR THIS POSITION WITH A WORLD-RENOWNED COMPUTER MANUFACTURING COMPANY, YOU WILL BE PERFORMING A WIDE VARIETY OF WINDOWS AND LINUX SERVER AND DESKTOP TROUBLESHOOTING AND ADMINISTRATION ACTIVITIES IN A LARGE-SCALE, HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Analyzing desktops, hardware, software, and operating systems
- Performing backups, archives, and recoveries
- Building machines from scripted images
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues
- Creating/maintaining documentation
- Working with vendors for warranty issues

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 years server and desktop support experience including both hardware and software support, system administration and backup
- A+ REQUIRED, MSCE preferred, Dell/HP/other a plus
- Must be able to provide SERVER level support and network administration on both Windows and Linux (mixed environment)
- Solid network administration and troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with a variety of hardware platforms running Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of TCP and networking principles
- Ability to provide support in a standalone environment
- Ability to provide lead and escalation support to level 2-3's
- 2-3 years of data center/lab experience a plus
- Experience in tape backup/tape management nice to have
- Must be able to pass 10 year criminal background check and drug screen
