Role: Windows Active Directory

Location: Dubuque, IA

Duration: 6months +

1] Strong experience in large Windows 200/2003/2008 IT environments with Active Directory infrastructure design, architecture, and trouble-shooting
2] Administer and manage AD user accounts, computer accounts and group policy-- strong understanding of GPOs is a must
3] Strong experience and knowledge with OUs, multi-forested domains and GPO administration across multiple domains, Setting up Trusts and trouble-shooting
4] Manage and maintain mission critical server-client applications/services including; security protection services, backup services, spam services, content filtering, etc.
5] Install, configure, and maintain printer resources using printer queue management and GPOs
6] Deployment services using several technologies for application, desktop OS, and server -- Windows 7 deployment experience a plus
7] Understand and be able to troubleshoot at various levels of OSI networking model
8] Computer and software performance troubleshooting, hardware diagnostics (multiple vendors)
9] Troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues. Strong understanding of network protocols [DNS, TCP/IP, LDAP, etc] is a must.
10]Experience with Microsoft Virtualization technologies Hyper V and Hyper App. deployment and administration.

Certifications desired: MCSA [Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator]
(one or more) MCSE [Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, 2000-2003]
MCA [Microsoft Certified Architect]
MCDBA [Microsoft Certified Database Administrator]

General Industry Certs A+ [A+ Certified Technician]

VmWare (minimum)

1] Create, deploy, and manage virtual machines
2] Use vCenter Server to monitor virtual machine resource usage
3] Use VMware vCenter Update Manager to apply patches to virtual machines
4] Use VMware vMotion and Storage vMotion to migrate virtual machines
5] Troubleshoot problems with virtual machine configuration

VmWare (Desired)

1] Strong understanding of concepts related to virtual computing, including vSphere server and storage virtualization
2] Strong experience with VmWare administration to design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot storage in a vSphere environment
3] Be able to describe the trade-offs between storage design decisions
4] Plan a storage architecture that scales to the demands of a virtualized environment
5] Use the VMware vSphere Client, esxtop, resxtop, and vscsiStats to monitor storage configuration end to end from a virtual machine disk to a specific VMware vStorage VMFS datastore
6] Advanced skills using the command line to trouble-shoot and remediate problems within the environment.

Other Skills Beneficial:

-Prior experience with multi-vendor Switches and Routers, understanding of DMZ's and other security set-ups.
-WSUS, MOM and other patching and security updates deployments across the enterprise.
-NAS/SAN/DAS (mulit-vendor storage solutions from HP (LeftHand), IBM (NetApp)
-Backup Solutions (multi-vendor) including Symantec, ArchServe, ComVault, Bare Metal.
-Enterprise Anti-virus deployments (Symantec, Trend, McAfee...and others)
