WINDOWS 10 SYSTEMS ENGINEER - ZURICH, 6 MONTHS+
JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
Taking direction from the lead engineer of the Windows 10 project, the Windows 10 engineer will drive the engineering and implementation of the Windows 10 project deliverables, with a key focus on security.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Windows 10 deployment process engineering, security engineering
- Technical Implementation of:
- Windows 10 Client configuration
- Windows 10 Group Policy settings
- Windows 10 Client Security settings
- Windows 10 Servicing/Maintenance and release processes
- Windows 10 Client Remote Access implementation
- Office 365 Client Configuration
- Office 365 Group Policy settings
- Documentation of all implemented solutions.
- Ability to develop automated processes using PowerShell
- Follow IT Workplace Project Management and Service Design best practices
- Actively support project managers with all technical aspects of the project.
- Ensure business requirements are documented and scope changes are properly managed.
- Complete work packages within the agreed timeframe and scope.
- Actively track status in the project management reporting system (JIRA)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Workplace Engineer for Windows 10 duties include these key activities:
- Ensure implemented solutions are in line with the clients overall IT strategy and compliant with other technologies.
- Solutions are properly documented and kept up to date (Design, Interfaces, Security and Processes)
- Actively communicate with peers and other teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Proven engineering experience (minimum 5 years) with the following products or technologies:
- Windows 7/8/10 Client Deployment and Management
- Windows Group Policy Management (Windows 7/8/10)
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2/Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2
- Microsoft Office Suite 2013/Office 365
- Windows PowerShell Scripting
- BitLocker, MBAM
- Windows Defender
- Windows Firewall
- Familiar with Windows 10 Servicing options (CB, LTSB)
- Familiar with Windows 10 Feature stack
OTHER SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Ability to familiarize with new technologies
- Willingness to continuously learn.
- Familiar with DevOps and CI/CD principles
- Good communication skills in word and writing, preferably in both English & German
- Good understanding of Enterprise Change Management processes.
- Very good communication skills will be required to engage your peers. This includes highly developed negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills
- Organized individual who can prioritize time and workload
- Ability to work independently
- Service-oriented and result-oriented work attitude
- Good team player, used to working in a lively, international environment
