Various WebSphere Application Server roles - Dublin (contract roles)

My client, a leading global consulting firm have a number of requirements for WebSphere Application Server Administrators and Project Managers on Mainframe/zOS and non Mainframe environments.

WebSphere AS Administrator on Mainframe Environment.

Duties and responsibilities of the role entail:
*ITIL Process awareness and adherence
*Helping team members on technical issues/problems
*Troubleshooting technical issues
*Responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration of WebSphereAS on zOS
*Responsible for building/maintaining a test environment
*Applying patches/upgrades to maintain security level
*Assist is WAS/data centre consolidation
*Ensure maximum up-time

The successful candidate will be required to have a good technical understanding of installation, patching, configuring and problem solving for both WebSphere AS and WebSphereAS on zOS. As well as installation on WebSphere IHS, plug-ins, App Servers etc.
Candidates are also expected to have experience in implementing WebSphere MQ Security, troubleshooting any escalated issues.

Along with the above technical abilities ideal candidates will be excellent communicators possessing excellent organisational skills and have excellent customer handling abilities.

WebSphere Application Server Project Manager:

Duties and responsibilities of the role entail:
*ITIL Process awareness and adherence
*Helping team members on technical issues/problems
*Troubleshooting technical issues
*Oversee and responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration of WebSphereAS on zOS
*Oversee and responsible for building/maintaining a test environment
*Applying patches/upgrades to maintain security level
*Data Centre planning/migration and designing of Web & Middleware infrastructure module
*Ensure maximum up-time
*Defining processes and ensuring adherenece to
*Educating the team on new releases of the product
*Vast experience in migrating/upgrading the Middleware product suites
*Mentoring/Training team members
*Suggests new technologies and design changes
*Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security levels
*Identify skills gaps and plan for training/knowledge training

The successful candidate will be required to have a good technical understanding of installation, patching, configuring and problem solving for both WebSphere AS and WebSphereAS on zOS. As well as installation on WebSphere IHS, plug-ins, App Servers etc. You will also have proven experience in a project administration/team lead role.
Candidates are also expected to have experience in implementing WebSphere MQ Security, troubleshooting any escalated issues.

Along with the above technical abilities ideal candidates will be excellent communicators possessing excellent organisational skills and have excellent customer handling abilities.
There is also a requirement for WebSphere AS administrators and Project Administrators on non Mainframe/zOS environments.
