Web Systems Analyst

Participates as a technical team member in design, programming, and testing of EDI enhancements and projects.
Provides day-to-day support including problem resolution and coordination of operational activity relative to job scheduling, etc.
Devises data verification methods, participates in system integration testing, prepares test data, tests and debugs problems.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Accountable for translating the business process and its requirements into a business solution. Accountable for requirements, design, testing and implementation deliverables. Models the business process, reconciling the process and data models. Designs the application architecture. Provides business leadership to the developers on the project teams.

COMPETENCIES:

- Prepare strategic business requirements, uses accepted concepts, standards, SDLC methodologies, and toolsets;
- Fully utilize data and process modelling techniques along with workflow analysis techniques;
- Consult with customer and systems personnel to determine type of information to be processed;
- Devise data verification methods and standard systems procedures;
- Define and analyze needs and information requirements;
- Prepare charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analysing problems, utilizing various business, scientific, engineering and mathematical techniques;
- Plan projects and estimate project requirements;
- Communicate well with customers at a level they understand;
- Develop in-depth understanding of business areas where existing or modernized programs could provide solutions.

SKILLS:

- Strong Understanding with practical experience in EDI and B2B.
- Familiar with UNIX, EDI X12 standards, and SAP IDOC and EDIFACT
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent training or work experience
- Knowledge of data modelling; knowledge of business functions supported by a major application system or multiple smaller systems.
- Five plus years applications analysis experience or equivalent
- Some experience with or exposure to business process management and an awareness of the use of information technology to improve work processes
