WEB DEVELOPER/PROGRAMMER

DURATION: 6 MONTHS

Sopra Steria Recruitment Ltd (a Sopra Steria company) provides recruitment and resourcing solutions to Sopra Steria, a leading European IT service provider.

EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: This is an exciting new opportunity for Programmer/Developer for an initial 6 month assignment for one of Sopra Steria's clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The developers' main task will be working from the existing process specification and form design to replicate this functionality in Firmstep AchieveForms/AchieveService. The AchieveForms activities include emails, letters, JavaScript functions, look ups to external databases through simple SQL and via SOAP webservices.

- To understand the existing processes in the current system.
- To develop processes in the new CRM system (Firmstep) and associated technologies.
- To collect, collate and analyse all data relating to the potential migration of processes in accordance with the predetermined framework.
- To develop test plans and evaluation criteria for new services to incorporate the customer and user perspective and to ensure the processes work to specification.
- Undertake testing of processes
- Support users undertaking UAT
- Produce and update documentation
- Process implementation
- Undertake support duties as required
- Liaise with existing members of the team

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE PROGRAMMER/JAVASCRIPT ANALYST PROGRAMMER/CRM DEVELOPER

- Good depth of knowledge of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, SOAP web services, REST, JSON
- A good depth of knowledge in SQL queries, MS SQL and MySQL
- Ability to understand a process map
- A good sense of system architecture and data model design
- Ability to learn how to develop in Firmstep CRM quickly
- Communication and customer focus skills, in order to work with our customers, permanent staff, and additional consultants
- Experience of developing formal test plans and carrying out testing
- Experience of undertaking application support
- Experience of writing system documentation

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Any experience of Firmstep AchieveService/AchieveForms would be highly advantageous
- Any experience of CRM systems would be useful.
- Experience of writing complex SQL queries
- Experience of working with a process mapping tool such as Visio would be useful
- Experience of working with Local Government, housing associations and government departments.
