Web Developer - Dreamweaver, Fireworks/Photoshop, Mysource Matrix - Go

One of Sydney's most established and reputable Government Department's is looking to appoint an experienced WEB DEVELOPER to join this talented IT department for an initial 4 month contract with the view to be extended.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (BUT WON\'T BE LIMITED TO) THE FOLLOWING:

- develop and maintain various sections of the Intranet, the public Internet site, related search engines and web applications
- liaise with clients to gather requirements for websites and provide web design advice
- provide support to users with self publishing' access to Intranet and Internet sites for which their area is responsible
- troubleshoots technical issues with the Intranet, Internet site, related search engines and web applications
- works with the Team Leader, Web Unit and other team members to achieve solutions to complex web development issues

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA;

- Demonstrated experience in developing Intranet and Internet websites
- Demonstrated web developer tool skills including the use of Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks/Photoshop and MySource Matrix Content Management System administration
- Demonstrated strong experience in handcoding HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Demonstrated customer service focus
- Demonstrated experience in designing websites and understanding of principles of best practice in WCAG 2.0 compliance, accessibility, navigation and usability
