WEB DEVELOPER SEATTLE, WA 5 MONTH CONTRACT

In this position, you will be the primary Front End Engineer for a fast-growing User Experience team. You will create web and mobile application Front End code, prototypes, and shared components that help the client's vision of enabling customers to manage and grow their business.

You will work closely with Designers and have direct input with Product Management and Development to shape creative, high quality, engaging mobile and web user experiences. This is a unique opportunity to come in early, have owner-level impact and shape the future Front End product strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Build compelling, usable, and desirable user experiences and interfaces, both creating production-ready code and prototypes.
- Lead the Front End engineering process by creating shared components and frameworks to be used by development teams across teams.
- Collaborate effectively with an agile, multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and champion exceptional Front End UX in the face of technical constraints
- Evangelize the adoption of shared components, frameworks, and best practices in Front End engineering across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years of experience as a Front End Engineer, Web Developer, UI Developer or similar role
- Online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating a variety of great user-centered solutions in web and mobile
- Fluency in best practices for mobile and web-based Front End engineering
- Proficiency using modern web development technologies and techniques, including JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, CSS, Responsive Design, web services, etc.
- Experience developing AJAX interfaces with Object Oriented JavaScript libraries and frameworks (eg DOJO, MooTools, JQuery, etc.)
- Familiarity with other popular UI-coding languages (Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails)
- Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of best practices across organizations
- Collaborate effectively with an agile, multi-disciplinary team to evaluate the feasibility of proposed designs and champion great UX in the face of technical constraints
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready code with superior user experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly mobile apps, websites, and/or business software
- Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
- Front End engineering in a global context
- Self-directed: sets and meets deadlines, multi-tasks, and prioritizes
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism when communicating with internal customers and senior leadership
