GoAhead Solutions has an immediate need for a Web Developer in Columbus, OH. This would be a three month contract to start out with extension. Please submit portfolio or Website URLS to be considered for this opportunity.  

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for re-design, development, testing and implementation of a replacement website for the Department.  Responsibilities will also include the organization and maintenance of the website content.

To re-design / assist with the development and implementation of a replacement website for the Department of Commerce. Commerce has a full-fledged website that services all 9 divisions. However, it is in dire need of re-design and re-engineering to meet the branding requirements, as well as the Governor’s office website policies. The website will be clear and easy to navigate to ensure customers and constituents, as well as the general public, so they can quickly find what they need. The website shall have a clean look with multi-media capability and increased interactivity with the user.   The design and layout shall meet the design standards and maintain the “Branding and Style Guide” of the Department of Commerce.

This position will also be responsible for the organization and maintenance of the website content in an understandable manner, as well as the ability to work with the Communication Section and the Information Technology Section, to develop and implement the new Commerce website. 

The purpose of this position is to produce computer-generated electronic and printed visuals and graphic multi-media designs; design and create master pages to manage website design and/or layout; develop audio and video enhancements and interactive tools for all 9 Divisions within Commerce; as well as provide daily and weekly progress reports accordingly.

Required Skills:

-At least 8 years of professional experience with Graphic Website Design and Development
-Adobe Products:  Design Standard Creative Suite, Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop, Life Cycle Designer, Professional, Distiller, PageMaker,
-MS Office, MS Visio, Visual Studio
-VB.NET, C#, T-SQL, .NET, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Web Browser Compatibility
-Final Cut Express Video Editing or Final Cut Pro X
