Web Content Writer

We are currently seeking a Website Content Writer for a 3 month contract with possible extension to undertake a specific project working with external websites.

The requirement of the Web Content Writer is to work collaboratively with the project's team to:

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand the scope of content for a website.
- Engage with business stakeholders to identify high-value content to retain
- Identify content gaps.
- Create, rewrite and migrate content for the redeveloped website.
- Rewrite content in plain English.
- Deliver content outcomes on a Sprint to Sprint basis.

In order to be considered you must have recent and relevant experience in the following:

- Writing and re-writing for the web for government agencies.
- Assisting business stakeholders with content audits.
- Optimising content for the web, especially transforming technical content into plain English, easy to understand information that's accessible and engaging for the audience.
- Manual migrating of content using a content management system.
- Working with user-experience professionals to ensure content and its structure adheres to WCAG 2.0 AA Federal Government standards.
- Working with business analysts and user-experience professionals to improve the organisation of content.
