WEB APPLICATIONS TEAM LEAD NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location. Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This Senior Web Application Team Lead (OO programming background) position is within the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Application Delivery team. Person will become the SME on the various DER applications within the scope of the program.
- The Team Lead role will be a technical lead (hands-on as needed) working on multiple projects within a program to implement solutions, enabling the expansion of Distributed Energy utilization and offerings, and to integrate these new DER solutions with current systems and infrastructure.
- The role will provide technical expertise and leadership in all projects and stages of the DER Program including analysis, design, build, testing, deployment and application performance.
- Serve as primary contact between project team and IIT, Security, and Solution Architects to determine and ensure sound overall technical solution design.
- The Team Lead will lead the project application development team in all phases of the project. This includes applications (configuration, customization, and workflow), interfaces, reporting, and data conversion, and workflow.
- Assist in insuring that all applicable testing (performance, security, unit, etc.) is planned and completed within each project.
- Assist the development team in defect triage and resolution during all stages of testing.
- Work directly with IT PM/Architects to report status, issues, risks, etc. on project deliverables assigned to the application development team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong team player that works well with customers, management, and team mates
- Ability to resolve complex issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment with little management oversight
- Ability to present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form to business clients and senior management
- Experience with other tools such as ETL - Informatica, MQ, Web Methods, and Dimensions
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to multi task effectively, self-starter, and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of data integration architectures including ODS and Data Warehouse concepts
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple assignments concurrently and properly prioritize required tasks to meet time schedules
- Ability to work with external vendors of software packages and coordinate deliverables between internal and external teams
- Ability to understand technology standards and directions and apply them to an overall IT roadmap for the assigned portfolio
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience

ADDITONAL NOTES:

- This is a highly visible, "big picture" team lead role working in their renewable solar energy sector. This person must have excellent communication (verbally, written) skills. Does not matter which web OO methodology they've used (Java or Microsoft), just that they have a good web development understanding and the leadership background in successfully completed web development projects. And AS NEEDED, can and will "roll up" their sleeves and assist with development.
- Project team currently has five team members and will have three phases. This role will assist in the determination of more resources.
- Phase 1: is Software Service. Creating a form that their new solar customers (big solar farms down to home owners) will fill out online, in order that Duke can capture all of their relevant information. A Business Analyst will be doing the actual work but this role will oversee it.
- Phase 2: Creating the analytic data integration - data modelling, reporting, ETL, for data-mining, analytic purposes. Overseeing and assisting (hands- on as needed). Need a good data modelling/ETL project background.
- Phase 3: This will be the most important part of the role and where the majority of their time will be spent. Working with the Architect to successfully interface all of these customized parts, allowing them to seamlessly work with Duke billing, meter reading, and customer data base systems."
