Web Applications Developer

Our very high visibility client is looking to scale their current customer design review system by moving some desktop design tools to a fully automated web-based system. Current situation: Recently developed multi-tier web-based externally-facing system that allows internal users and end customers to submit their designs. Unfortunately, internal users are still required to spend time verifying output from the automated tool. Next phase: Customers would like more automation to further reduce internal user involvement, including a graphical results viewer (results are currently presented in text form in a spreadsheet).

Responsibilities: The candidate will own most of the technical aspects of the software development life cycle (software analysis, design, development, unit/integration/regression testing, and basic deployment to internal infrastructure). S/He will be part of a team but needs to execute independently.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 10 years of experience/Mid-Sr Level expertise
- Web development skills with Microsoft tools/technologies including but not limited to.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, WCF web services, SQL Server databases

NICE TO HAVE:

Highly desirable candidates will have experience with WebGL or other graphics frameworks/APIs for the web, and experience developing a standards-based browser-neutral online graphical viewer. Other valuable skills include: design patterns, Silverlight, Entity Framework Code First, testing frameworks (unit, API, regression), CAD tools like Cadence Allegro or Mentor Expedition, interaction between web (managed) and desktop C++ (unmanaged) codebases.
