Water Treatment Engineer

WATER TREATMENT ENGINEER (WT) /PROJECT ENGINEER is needed for a Salt Lake City area Water treatment company. This is a temp-to-hire position. Local candidates preferred. You will provide technical support to manufacturing and design, and work with leading-edge technologies to provide customers with customized water treatment solutions. You must be a self-starter, who is organized, a effective communicator and able to multi-task. Competitive hourly rate and benefits offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and understand plans and specifications for custom engineered high purity water equipment, and perform calculations; confirm defined chemical process and equipment sizing of process components (pumps, valves, etc.)
- Modify, check and create P&ID's used for design and manufacturing. Check detailed cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Provide technical support to design and manufacturing
- Comply with all company regulations to ensure a safe and productive work environment

REQUIREMENTS

- You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years experience with engineering or design of water treatment systems in the power, beverage, micro-electronics, pharmaceutical or related industries
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Excel and MS Word, and 3D CAD modeling software
- Proven experience in process equipment engineering and design including reverse osmosis, membrane technologies, ion-exchange, electro-deionization, and filtration
- You must be able to read detailed process and mechanical plans and engineering specifications, and a basic understating of electrical design. PLC control systems is a plus.
