WATER ENGINEER - EAGLEFORD
An International and Domestic independent E&P Company with operations in Alaska, Marcellus, Eagle Ford and Bakken shale gas as well as the deepwater Gulf of Mexico is currently seeking a Water Engineer to join their Eagle Ford team in Houston, TX. To date the company has invested more than USD $11 billion in US upstream activities, and currently produces more than 150,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day.

Job description

* The Water Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of water management activities necessary to sustain the Eagle Ford drilling and completion program. Responsibilities include water sourcing, transportation and storage, treatment and recycling, and disposal. The work is to be conducted in a safe, legal, and environmentally responsible and effective manner, and in conformance with established company guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations.
* The Water Engineer reports to the Development and Production North America US Onshore Eagle Ford Lead Completion Engineer.
* Responsibilities and Duties
* The Water Engineer will be responsible for:
* Development of water demand, consumption, and disposal profiles based on drilling rig count and completion scheduling
* Identification and development of source water sites to sustain drilling and completion program
* Coordination with land management personnel to facilitate proper and timely acquisitions and agreements necessary for water management infrastructure and operations
* Coordination with regulatory personnel to facilitate proper and timely permitting of water management infrastructure and operations
* Coordination with Operations Support water engineering personnel for implementation of pilot and standardized water management strategy, processes, procedures, and specifications
* Interface the detailed design and construction of water infrastructure
* Economic analysis of various water projects, including water infrastructure, water source and disposal wells, and water treatment opportunities
* Coordination with field personnel in the operation of temporary and permanent water infrastructure
* Integration with production operations on managing produced water and disposal well operations
* Coordinating short and longer term optimization planning with various functional groups, including Drilling, Completions, Production Operations, and Facilities & Construction
* Maintaining a material balance pertaining to the withdrawal and disposal of water that may be required for regulatory reporting

Qualifications

* Bachelor degree
* Minimum 2-7 years of experience with a background in water engineering, well development, or completions
* contractor management skills
