We have a requirement for a contractor to join the residency team in order to assist with delivery of a number of existing SRM/W4N projects. 

Location - London EC1

Duration - 3 months rolling

Start date - 5 May/ASAP - 31 July 2014

SKILLS:

Mandatory: SRM Suite  (Design/Implementation and Operations)

Desirable: VMAX/DMX/Clariion/Unisphere

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configuration of Customer-specific policies

Translation of the customer's business KPIs and SLAs into SRM Suite dashboard reports

SRM Suite post-implementation operational support to the customer's storage management team

Assisting the customer in developing or modifying procedures for operating the SRM Suite using EMC best practices

Utilizing SRM Suite to enable higher levels of monitoring and reporting than available with ProSphere, ControlCenter, or third-party tools

Improving usage of, and return on investment from storage assets

Provision of best practice and guidance around the following reporting areas:

o Performance and capacity planning

o Historical trending

o Storage capacity-both configured and raw

o Switch utilization

o Array and host utilization

o Host allocation

o User-defined data requirements

o Access control to reported data

o Graphical data reporting needs

o Backup and restore reporting requirements
