WAN Engineer

We are not a huge company so our network is not sprawling but it is complex and has special needs. It is always changing, always cutting edge and always busy. We need a solid WAN Engineer who can figure it out, learn new technologies quickly and independently, and who is willing to do the work - someone willing to get hands on. We don't have room for prima donnas that only want to hide out at their desk and work on special projects.

The role we have includes project work but not all the project work is new installs. The project work includes redesigning our network to build in more security layers, implementing dynamic routing, merging acquisition networks, and more. There are also day-to-day responsibilities which includes troubleshooting VPN tunnel issues to offices and customers, making Firewall changes to meet business needs, and in general troubleshooting network issues as they arise.
We want someone that is not wanting just the "sexy" work but is willing to do what needs to be done.

To be qualified for this position, you will need to have 5+ years of experience in these technical areas:

- Cisco Routers and Switches - Install and Configure.
- Firewalls.
- VPN.
- Security and Network Authentication.

We are growing and have a great technical company with sharp IT professionals. We are located in the Alpharetta area. Compensation includes base salary + bonus which can be 9-10% of your base pay and we have a retirement plan with a company match.
