Voice Engineer - Crewe/Basingstoke - 3 Months

My client a leading IT and global telecommunications company require a voice engineer. There is one role available in Basingstoke and another role available in Crewe. The candidate will be configuring orders for one customer and faulting the Siemens Hosted IP Telephony solution for the rollout on numerous Government contracts. The majority of the work will be Business As Usual orders such as (but not limited to): - Provide/Modify new user

Provide/Modify Hunt Group

Provide/Modify Pick Up Group

Configuration of ATAs (Mediatrix)

Site take ons

Also including the following responsibilities: Configuring the Siemens Hipath 8000 switch including local area routing

Setting the parameters on the Voice DHCP Servers

Populating the site and core Domain name Servers

Upgrading and configuring Mediatrix Voip adapters to connect analogue devices to the Voip network

Designing and implementing bespoke voice solutions

Faulting Router and switch configuration during a new site take on

There may also be some project work which covers bigger orders and provide new site orders. The configuration will be on the Siemens 8k switch, DLS and some SBC work although we use an in house automated tool to produce scripts which are then run into the systems.
