VN6461 CATIA V5 Design Engineers

Our client, a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems with business activities covering civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation, science and navigation programmes are currently looking for Catia V5 Design Engineers.

They are looking for Catia V5 Design Engineers to work at their Stevenage location for 6 month duration and could be working on antenna design, accommodation, structural and thermal equipping.

Your responsibilities as a Catia V5 Design Engineer will be:
Production of drawings, models, assembly models, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Notes, e-mails, memos related to the Configured items for the allocated project(s) to cost and schedule as delegated by the Lead Design Engineer. Control, correctness, accuracy and relevance of the above are to be self checked using check lists and CATIA procedures.
Ensuring all the MDO Design Engineer outputs for the project are correct to the project requirements as stated by the Lead Design Engineer or the Responsible Engineer. All the project DO outputs must be self checked, stamped and passed to the lead Engineer or RE where relevant.
Support to other general DO activities ie process improvements, bid etc.
Specific responsibility for the estimation and planning of DO related activities and manpower requirements to meet those tasks. Allocation of manpower is sought through the line management.
Supervision of other D.O. Design Engineers working on the project.
Support to other general D.O. activities ie process improvements, bids etc.

Skills and Experience Required:
Extensive and proven background of Catia V5 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting
Mechanical Engineering Background. Microsoft Word and Excel. Appreciation of Structural Requirements. General DO Practices.

Desirable:
Aerospace Design.
