Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused development results in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. Since then it has grown into the most popular PC game in the world, played by over 67 million people every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it's for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

To that end, we're looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals; passionate gamers who take play seriously, see things differently, aren't afraid to experiment and have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As a visual designer, you will work with a kickass cross-disciplinary task force of producers, artists, designers and marketing specialists to create inspirational designs that fit naturally into the League of Legends universe. Your experience with Photoshop and Illustrator will allow you to work quickly across web, mobile and print, delivering memorable work at a high standard. You're also looking to learn; eager to level up your skills by surrounding yourself by creators operating at the top of their game.

As a Brighton Rioter, you will join a team of internationally and culturally diverse professionals who share our prioritisation of player experience, rejection of convention and maniacal passion for gaming. With teams in Design, Web Development, Production and Writing, Riot Games Brighton is dedicated to creating unique player experiences that show European players they aren't lost in translation.

YOU ARE

- PLAYER-FOCUSED: You understand your impact on the player experience because you're a player, too. You listen closely to the community to better understand their needs before they do and contribute to the overall League of Legends experience.
- A PASSIONATE DESIGNER: Your portfolio is cover-to-cover inspiration. You have a good understanding on how to harness print and web design to create awesome experiences to engage players in a variety of ways.
- A CRAFTSPERSON: You're as experienced and knowledgeable with pad and pencil as you are with Photoshop and Illustrator. You possess aesthetic judgment with a keen eye for light, colour, value, form, typography and composition.
- A BRAND ADVOCATE: You understand our brand, producing work that reflects our visual brand characteristics and ensuring quality is maintained on every project.
- COMMUNICATIVE AND COLLABORATIVE: You can clearly communicate with any department in any medium. When teammates are struggling, you help with a positive attitude and rolled up sleeves. You're comfortable working alongside teams of artists, programmers and designers and are open to feedback, both giving and receiving.
- INTELLECTUALLY CURIOUS: You consider a day without learning a day wasted. You're always curious about new techniques and do daily deep dives on next-gen workflow.
- ORGANISED: You may be a designer, but you're able to leverage your left brain to keep everything prioritised and on time.

YOU WILL

- Create engaging, usable and effective visual designs to achieve player-focused goals and business objectives.
- Assist in creating concepts for sub-brands, logos and banners that fit inside of the League of Legends universe.
- Create assets in Photoshop and Illustrator, including web content, web pages, advertising campaigns, mobile, print-ready assets and corporate branding materials.
- Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary task force of producers, artists, designers, marketing specialists, creating inspirational visual design that speaks to players.
- Contribute to an open creative environment where teammates collaborate to help each other create better work through honest feedback.
- Still be looking to learn. You may be a seasoned pro or have only a few projects under your belt but you are always pushing yourself to learn techniques and methods.
