Job Description:
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Video Game QA/Tester to contribute to their team. This is a year-long contract opportunity located in Vancouver with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have an intermediate level of experience providing a high level of QA support for their gaming products and associated development tools on a daily basis. They must be able to identify, track, verify and resolve and issues that arise throughout the duration of the bug life cycle. The candidate should be a proactive self-started with demonstrated experience working with within a variety of teams both onsite and offsite. Excellent communication skills should be demonstrated when presenting QA results and updates to teams and managers.

Qualified Candidates will have:

- Over 4 years of testing experience in the gaming industry with a solid understanding of game development techniques and tools including Unreal and Unity
- Ability to write detailed, accurate test plans
- Experience in using Scripting languages for automation including PowerShell, Python, and Jscript is an asset
- Passion for delivering high quality, service based products
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, continuously developing team environment
- A hands on and in depth knowledge of video games and a passion for breaking games and fixing bugs
- Experience with video services is an asset
- Experience with Xbox certification process and guidelines
- Excellent skills using MS Office (Project, Powerpoint, Excel) and other relevant software
