About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Video Game Software Teser for a 4 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with development teams to provide top notch QA support
- Lead day to day testing of the product and related development tools
- Identify, track and verify the resolution of issues through to the end of the bug lifecycle
- Clarify issues and provide detailed information when necessary
- Work closely and coordinate with the central QA team in Redmond, Washington
- Oversee the generation and execution of test cases
- Evaluate milestone builds against tests for completion
- Communicate and present QA results and updates
- Assist in identifying future QA needs and requirements
- Lead and mentor junior QA staff

Skills/Requirements

- 4+ year of testing experience in the gaming industry
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write detailed, accurate test plans
- Good understanding of game development techniques

Passion for delivering high quality, service based products

- Methodical, self-starter, proactive attitude
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-pressure, continuously developing team environment
- Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks
- Excellent skills using MS Office (Project, Power Point, Excel) and other relevant software
- Enthusiasm and knowledge of video games in general and a love for breaking games and fixing bugs

Experience with video services is a plus

- Experience/familiarity with game development tools (ie Unreal, Unity, etc)
- Experience with Scripting languages for automation: PowerShell, Python, Jscript is a plus
- Experience with Xbox certification process and guidelines
- Excellent skills using MS Office (Project, Power Point, Excel) and other relevant software
