Video Conferencing Project Technician

AN OPPORTUNITY EXISTS FOR A PROJECT TECHNICIAN WITH VIDEO CONFERENCING EXPERIENCE TO ASSIST WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION AND REPLACEMENT OF LEGACY VIDEO CONFERENCE ENDPOINTS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND BE ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE! YOU MUST ALSO ENJOY WORKING IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT.

MAIN DUTIES:

- Decommission Legacy and provision new video conference endpoints following specified procedures
- Test endpoints following established procedures
- Enter and maintain records of replaced endpoints in relevant tracking and management systems
- Follow a schedule and meet targets
- Monitor and maintain incidents to ensure timely resolution minimising impact to clients

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Polycom and/or Cisco video conferencing endpoints
- Knowledge and experience with protocols such as; IP, HTTP, https, command line and file transfer tools such as Telnet
- Experience with or capacity to quickly learn and apply knowledge of IP Networking protocols to video conferencing infrastructure
- Proven experience with fault finding and problem resolution via the phone with technical and non-technical people
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and capacity to rigorously follow process and procedures
- Experience with or knowledge of incident management systems
- Solid understanding of Microsoft applications, in particular office products such as Excel and Word.
