Vendor Manager - Supply Chain Management

Key Purpose of Role
*Accountable for ensuring that JLR and Supply Chain operate to the agreed service model, commercial model and compliance requirements.
*Responsible for monitoring and tracking of contracted deliverables from outsource partners.
*Owns Vendor Service Management with Programme & Project Delivery

The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, ie if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the Land Rover grading structure with the associated terms and conditions

Key Purpose of Role
*Accountable for ensuring that JLR and Supply Chain operate to the agreed service model, commercial model and compliance requirements.
*Responsible for monitoring and tracking of contracted deliverables from outsource partners.
*Owns Vendor Service Management with Programme & Project Delivery

Key Responsibilities
*Governance & Contract Management
*Support production and/or approval of statements of work for projects, ensuring contractual terms are applied
*Ensure appropriate process controls are in place to monitor supplier delivery of project milestones
*Lead contract negotiations (in conjunction with Purchasing) where new suppliers are required to deliver projects, engaging with stakeholders and vendors to ensure contracts are commercially and contractually sound, are market tested and conform to JLR Purchasing Mandate
*Manage the commercial element of the contract(s) including activities such as supporting purchasing in negotiating the cost of contract changes, preparing business cases to support contract changes and supporting contract changes through the processes ensuring accurate commercials and documentation
*Lead strategic contract reviews with supply partners as part of the Vendor Management governance framework and as required to meet business needs
*Control all aspects of the contract including communication, compliance and responding to queries regarding the contract to ultimately ensure the provision of a consistently high level of service
*Design and implement processes to deliver the operating model, documenting such processes and ensuring current and new IT colleagues have necessary awareness
*Maintain accurate contract summary documents for internal awareness

Commercial Management
*Lead the cost performance of the contract (s)/statements of work to ensure it delivers against its financial targets and business value, working closely with PPD and Finance colleagues.
*Ensure contracted remedies are applied.
*Ensure there are clear commercial management controls, communication and administrative procedures in place so that all parties involved in the delivery and receipt of services understand their roles and responsibilities.
*Maximise IT vendor value and engagement at the optimal cost to JLR

Performance Management
*Review and report on the quality of service provision, risk and opportunities
*Resolve any escalations, implementing any necessary remedial actions
*Liaise with assigned suppliers over sub-contractor performance to determine and support the implementation of commercial solutions that drive value for JLR.
*Support CIO office in providing relevant analytics for each strategic partner
*Build excellent working relationships with strategic supply partners up to and including board members
*Ensure compliance to Vendor Management associated Policies and Processes by JLR IT staff.
*Participate in and contribute to the Strategic Supplier Management Programme, diving delivery of the programme objectives

Process Management

*Maintain accurate process maps, procedures and policy documentation
*Maintain accurate stakeholder maps and escalation paths
*Identify and deliver process improvements that are aligned to the IT Strategy and key initiatives

Knowledge & Experience:

Experience of managing complex IT contracts with key industry suppliers is essential

Has prior experience of working within a contract management position in private sector

Has prior experience in leading negotiations with strategic suppliers.

Working knowledge of Prince Project Management principles

Has demonstrable experience in developing supply risk management strategies across the supply base and sub-contractors and have the ability to manage potential supply risks.

Have a strong understanding of a collaborative approach to supplier relationship management and a clear track record of success in managing significant supply partnerships including those with an 'off-shore' operation.

Have strong commercial acumen.

Have a strong working knowledge of commercial contracting terms and conditions/practices and legal implications in all categories of IT spend
