Vendor Management SME Data

One of our key clients a financial services company are looking to hire a Vendor Management SME within the data space. This individual will work across a number of divisions in order to examine what the best vendors to use for a multiple data projects and programmes.

Key responsibilities

- To be the Vendor Management SME for a large number of data alligned projects.
- To be able to identify the best vendors to use in regards to different types of data tools and data projects eg funds data, database manipulation, equities data, kyc remediation data etc.
- To be able to identify the best vendors to use for a variety of systems and interact with the vendors and negotiate with them.
- Evaluate current vendors performance and manage their performance
- Lead the vendor selection across the data space and be able to present internally why that particular vendor should be chosen.

Essentials

- Have extensive Vendor Management experience with knowledge of a large number of data vendors and their specialisms and offerings.
- To have a strong understanding of investment banking and the data which they collect
- Some data technical knowledge such as SQL, Informatica, Qlikview, Dashboarding etc.
- Strong stakeholder management and strong communication skills
