Validation Test Technician

VALIDATION TEST ENGINEER ANDROID HILLSBORO, OR 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our high-visibility client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Android Software Engineer who understands the complete SW development life cycle, including source code management, automated builds, unit testing, validation test and defect tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Write and develop BIT test cases; Conduct White Box, Black Box and exploratory testing; Identify defects and troubleshooting issues, filing bug reports and maintain test environment. The candidate will work in a lab environment to troubleshoot BIT SW issues, test system functionality, execute test cases, and communicate results. The candidate is expected to work with limited supervision.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Experience with one or more Scripting languages such as Python, Perl, JavaScript, AutoIT etc.
- Experience writing and executing test cases
- Experience with SDLC, reporting and tracking defects
- Excellent problem solving skills; ability to analyze and debug issues
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision

PREFERRED SKILLS - nice to have

- Python expertise
- HTML5 expertise
- API testing (REST)
- Unit Test Frameworks
