Validation Test Development Engineer

For this contract position with the world's leading computer components brand, the candidate will be working as a SOFTWARE TEST DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER in a product development scrum team. Primary responsibilities include writing tests, debugging test failures, and providing product health assessments for a storage software product. The test environment may include an Android platform, a Windows platform, and/or an iOS platform as the devices under test.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up test benches for running tests to validate data storage products.
- Debug setup issues.
- Perform test execution.
- Write up bug reports.
- Work with the engineering team to debug and reproduce issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java
- 5+ years of experience working with Windows, Linux or Android development environment
- 5+ years of experience in software test or software integration environment
- Must have strong problem solving skills and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience in software product life cycles and standard validation approaches
- Knowledge of Operating System internals such as file systems or device drivers
- Experience with validation of software applications including User Interfaces
- Experience with Code Coverage analysis tools
- Knowledge of cloud storage setup and interfaces
- Good leadership skills
