Validation Engineer Linux

VALIDATION ENGINEER LINUX HILLSBORO, OR CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

Ideal candidate will be a Linux Enthusiast who lives and breathes all parts of Linux (eg Automake, GCC, Linux app development and testing, toolkit development, and Linux as their primary).

JOB DUTIES:

- Develop, maintain, execute, and report results for power and performance benchmarks, manual test cases, and automated test cases for the Wayland Graphics Software Stack.
- Develop and maintain automated build/test scripts in a continuous integration model.
- Identify, analyze, report, and triage defects.
- Execute static analysis and resolve issues detected.
- Develop new software tools to streamline day-to-day workflow, results reporting, etc.
- Set up, configure, and maintain test hardware and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with open source software developers (internal and external) to ensure quality in upstream software.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science required
- 3+ years Linux software development using GCC and Autotools (Autoconf, Automake, etc.)
- 3+ years of Linux Software Validation and/or test-driven software development
- 3+ years programming with Python and C/C++
- Automated building and testing using a continuous integration workflow
- Bug trackers (eg Bugzilla, trac, etc.)
- Strong attention to details
- Application development using a windowing toolkit (eg EFL, GTK+, Qt, wxWidgets, etc.)
- Previous or current open source contributor
- Static Analysis Power and Performance execution
- General knowledge of video encoding/decoding
