UX Designer

Our client is a Global Investment Bank with offices based in London.

They seek a Graphical Designer for the various systems developed and maintained within the Risk Systems team within the Bank. There is currently a strategic change programme underway which will amalgamate the various system interfaces creating a single point of entry. Therefore a well-designed interface is required to provide flexibility and maintaining strong usability. The interface will be used by counterparty and market risk professionals across the Bank as well as Front Office.

The user interface is implemented on Microsoft Windows using C# WPF.

The role will include:

- Re-designing screens for an existing systems - ensuring consistent styles and branding are used throughout
- Establishing a styly library
- Visual and motion design of proposed interactions in line with existing style guides
- Assume full ownership of User Experience design for a number of projects and coordinate all stakeholders including users, business, business analysts, developers and QA.
- Liaising with business analysts to define the functionality and business requirements of a project
- Iterative interaction design until signoff from users and business
- Styling proposed visual design in XAML (presentation layer only, no Back End development)

Candidates should the following experience:

- Hands on Graphic Design
- User Experience
- Investment/corporate banking experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive and flexible approach to tasks
- Good level of experience in a delivery focussed

Core skills required are as follows:

- Graphic Design Software (Adobe CS or other) - expert
- XAML development for WPF - layout, templates, styling custom controls
- Microsoft Expressions Blend - expert
- Visual Studio environment - intermediate
