User Interface Engineer Job

USER INTERFACE ENGINEER is needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for Yoh's client in Beaverton, OR.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- User Interface (UI) Engineer will be building web interfaces that will be user experience driven.
- User Interface (UI) Engineer will build groundbreaking web applications using advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- User Interface (UI) Engineer prototypes future interfaces.
- User Interface (UI) Engineer works with product, design, and data teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- MUST HAVE A BS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, COMPUTER ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT.
- Experience developing highly interactive Web applications with JavaScript.
- Exceptional HTML and CSS. Excellent object-oriented JavaScript skills; experience with YUI3 or any other JavaScript framework such as Angular, Knockout, Backbone, or Jquery
- Ability to contribute to testing and implementation approach for presentation layer.
- Experience with responsive design principles. Experience of modern web development toolkits and libraries such as Backbone, Underscore, Angular, Ember, JQuery, etc.
- Experience of developing with RESTful JSON APIs. XML experience.
- Practical knowledge of working within a continuous build environment including working with a Source Control Management tool. Atlassian suite of tools, Confluence and JIRA experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's of Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) in Technical Communication or an Engineering Discipline
- Knowledge of HTML/JavaScript, DITA/XML, program management/leadership.
- Experience and knowledge of PC industry, products and development processes desired
