User Interface Developer

}My client are a tier 1 investment bank with an international presence and a 100+ year history. They have a thriving internal shared service team that functions as the organisation's go to digital agency delivering large and exciting campaigns of work for both internal and external stakeholders. Due to an incredibly challenging and innovative programme of work currently being delivered globally my client are looking to hire a number of Javascript focused User Interface Developers to assist with their roadmap for 2014/2015. One of these positions will be based out of their large office based in Montreal. The contract is due to last 6 - 12 months and my client pay very attractive rates.
In terms of Front End development, my client specialize in pixel-perfect integration of visual design into applications by working closely with various development teams and augmenting their core skill set with their specialized skills. My client are looking to hire senior-level developers that have had some experience in a marketing/agency environment working closely with design teams on highly polished custom UI's. Some interest and ability in the design world is definitely a requirement, which this makes finding developers an extra challenge from just a regular' developer who might be at the Architect- level but does not have experience or interest in the look and feel.
Candidate will have following level of experience:
5 years + experience developing and working professionally with HTML, JavaScript, CSS. Ideally with a solid understanding of MVC programming and JavaScript patterns.
. Candidate will have a strong knowledge of client-side frameworks such as Sencha ExtJSlibraries like jQuery, Underscore, D3, Highcharts; performance troubleshooting & security issues, and Adobe Photoshop.
. Ideally have come from or be working in a digital agency type environment.
Ideally you will be using one of those frameworks in your current role (Sencha or angularJS) and you will have some idea about manipulating a Twitter Bootstrap theme to achieve some customizations. On the design side my client want you to be creating custom styles or themes, not just using the Out of the Box look and feel.
This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for a developer experienced working in digital agency environments to move into financial services (Or get that banking/Financial services experience) and would also be a great opportunity for a digital agency developer who is now working in financial services to continue working in the sector.
