User Experience Specialist

Our client is a Telco Industry leader and they have a number of exciting Digital Media projects underway therefore requiring an outgoing User Experience Designer/Specialist to join their team

Some of the key accountabilities of the role are:

- Translate business objectives into manageable user experience design outcomes.
- Help plan and execute user experience design projects against specific business and user experience objectives.
- Design information architecture and interaction design, internally as well as outsourced.
- Help plan and deliver world-class UI designs or research on-time and on price,from conception right through to completion. This will be with the assistance of a User Experience lead
- Significantly and demonstrably increase the ease-of-use of digital channels, online experience, products and services.
- Ensure user experience consistency across the business units where appropriate.
- Work directly with the broader User Experience team to formalise consistent operational processes and documentation

Essential Skills & Experience:

- Some experience or education in User Experience related to high-tech products and services, including IA, interaction design, visual design and deep knowledge of recognized usability standards and guidelines
- Education in user research, design, HCI, usability or related disciplines (or ability to display formal understanding of theory and practices)
- Demonstrated knowledge of user experience design principles and interaction design skills
- Solid understanding of the application of user research and testing to inform and validate design
- Candidate must have the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines in an organizationally agile working environment and must be able to work flexible hours and travel when necessary
- Technical skills that allow you to talk and understand capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML is a plus
- Visual design skills a plus
- Experience conducting user testing highly desired
