Usability Assistant Job

USABILITY ASSISTANT needed for a CONTRACT job opportunity with Yoh's client located in MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Excellent writing skills & verbal skills
- Cognitive Science or Anthropological background
- Experience with user research and statistical analysis

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work with senior design research staff to develop interaction sequences with users that utilize findings from prior ethnographic research
- focus on delivering intelligent agent capabilities for 14 foreign markets
- Work out in detail the "dialog" between the user and the system, for 14 countries.
- Assist with international etiquette, as a question asked a certain way in the US may come across differently in another country.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Experience with user research and statistical analysis
- Some cognitive science, anthropological, psychological, or cognitive linguistics bent
- Must have excellent writing & verbal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good time management, ability to self manage by creating a plan and work to milestones, while working independently.
- A conceptual thinker who can implement
- Interest and personal experience with mobile technology
- Interest in any of the following: service design, personalization services, privacy, natural language processing, machine learning, trust-building and value exchange with end users, audio-based interactions
- BA/BS in Cognitive Science, User Research

BONUS POINTS!

- Experience doing research or design in other countries or cultures a plus
- Back End development/Programming skills not required but would be a plus (JavaScript w/jQuery, C#, .net framework and MVC)
