Unmanned Air Systems Project Manager

Background
Our Central Government Client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work in the Unmanned Air System (UAS) Delivery Team. This is a Defence Equipment & Support (DES) Team delivering a combination of Core Equipment Programme (EP) and Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) projects. The UOR section manages a number of UAS operating in Afghanistan and in other operational environments. As part of that portfolio the UOR section is project managing the delivery of NANO UAS and Maritime UAS, providing ISR from these unmanned systems to the users on the front line. This is a 6 month contract post based in Bristol.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Purpose - provide project management support to the delivery and support of the NANO UAS and Maritime UAS Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) projects.

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
Primary Tasks:
Project Management Support/Delivery. Identification and management of risks (using ARM Risk Tool) for identified UOR projects. Maintain and update UOR delivery schedule (using EPM2010 project planning tool-set). Maintain and update UOR cost modelling tool and provision of monthly financial status updates and financial forecasts for identified UOR projects. Maintain and update UOR project history and disposal plans. Preparation of Business Cases to support project procurement and support. Preparation of Statements Of Work/Requirements to support placement of contracts. Lead for delivery of work packages (including security accreditation for identified UOR systems).

Professional Qualifications - Essential
- APMP or equivalent project management qualification.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Project and business software (MS Office Suite - EPM2010).
- Proficient in use and exploitation of the ARM Risk Tool.

Professional Qualifications - Desirable
- Degree or HND in Engineering discipline

It is highly desirable that you hold valid SC clearance however if you don't you must be eligible to go through this level of clearance.
