Our client seeks to appoint an experienced Unix System Engineer to provide effective, environments supporting their businesses globally. This includes the UNIX/Linux Servers and associated storage in a primarily Ecommerce based environment
KEY DUTIES:
- Engineer and implement technical configurations on the UNIX/Linux platform.
- Ensure SLA's
- Strong practical experience of supporting Solaris and Linux based systems
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Operational experience in the following:SAN Administration, Virtualisation technologies (VMWare), Backup tools and technologies, Scripting
