Unix Solaris & Linux Consultant

UNIX SOLARIS & LINUX CONSULTANT

Whitehall Resources have an urgent requirement for an experienced Unix Solaris & Linux Consultant to work with a major client in Brussels, Belgium. The client are currently migrating their Solaris hosted applications to the Linux platform therfore previous experience on a similar will be highly desirable.

YOU WILL:

- Be part of the project which aims at migrate the applications hosted on our Solaris platform to Linux.
- Jointly with the rest of the project team execute the migration scenario to move our applications.
- Decommission the obsolete Solaris machines.
- Participate in the day-to-day operation of the Solaris and Linux platforms.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Languages - English (Fluent) + Dutch or French (Fluent)

- Proven experience on a UNIX SOLARIS platform.
- Proven experience with Red Hat Linux.
- Experience with Shell Scripting
- Experience with packaging.
