Unix-Red Hat Engineer

Synergy Consulting Group is looking for a UNIX-Red Hat Engineer for a year-long contract with a Fortune 500 company in Cleveland, OH.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for determining user requirements and design specifications for computer networks.

The salary for this position is $40 - $45 per hour, based on experience and skill set.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and make recommendations to adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.

Supervise network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.

Review and approve equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, Servers, or server operation systems. Review and approve solutions for network problems.

Review and approve conceptual, logical or physical network designs.
-

Develop procedures to track, project or report network availability, reliability, capacity or utilization.

Develop or recommend network security measures, such as Firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KVM environment used Red Hat Clustering

LDAP

RHEL (versions 5 and 6 )

Clusters using various components like HA Service Mgmt

GFS

Familiar with security patches

Scripting capabilies

Some Windows experience

Use of software repos for Red Hat

High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/related field required or equivalent work experience required

8+ years experience required
