Unix/Linux/Weblogic Provisioning Engineer Job

UNIX/LINUX/WEBLOGIC PROVISIONING ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Deep knowledge of the Linux, Unix operating system
- Working knowledge of Weblogic
- Knowledgeable of Service Provider/MSO system technologies
- Extensive experience with CLI, UNIX shells (eg BASH, CSH, etc.), Shell Scripting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for support and operation of provisioning, Cable/MSO systems which include hardware, software, applications and other related infrastructure.
- This individual will support multiple teams which include development, engineering and lab teams and will provide operational support of various systems.
- This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and applications maintain high levels of up-time and will participate in outage bridges to triage and repair those systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Demonstrated ability with managing systems and applications
- Deep knowledge of the Linux, Unix operating system
- Working knowledge of Weblogic
- Knowledgeable of Service Provider/MSO system technologies
- Extensive experience with CLI, UNIX shells (eg BASH, CSH, etc), Shell Scripting
- Knowledgeable in various OS level daemon services including but not limited to SMTP, SNMP, NTP, DNS, crond, PAM, HTTPd
- Knowledgeable and demonstrated ability to operate and maintain storage and file sharing solutions Understanding of distributed cloud and storage architectures (eg VMWare, Amazon Web Services, and OpenStack)
- Understanding of system engineering practices
- Creative and optimistic-but-responsible approach to problem solving planning and opportunity-risk mediation.
- Demonstrated ability to meet delivery dates for small, medium, and large scale development projects.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Agile concepts
- Understands various Firewall architectures and Network/Cloud Security concepts
- Certifications: Linux, Weblogic RedHat RHCE
- Exposure/Experience with P/SQL, MySQL, Oracle
