One of Canberra's largest Federal Government departments wishes to engage the services of 2X SENIOR UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS with sound experience in supporting a Unix environment. The successful applicant will be joining their IT team in Canberra for an initial 6 month contract with the view to extend up to 2 years.

You will have responsibility for supporting and delivering corporate midrange Unix services, such as:

- Integration and deployment of business applications.
- Installation, configuration, testing and ongoing support of midrange hardware and software.
- Automation of application environment provision

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

ESSENTIAL

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in UNIX specifically Sun Solaris 10;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in very strong Perl
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving skills, software compilation installation and upgrade.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

- Proven experience in J2EE environments specifically Weblogic
- Proven experience in Enterprise SOA specifically Tibco;
- Proven experience in Enterprise SSO;
- Demonstrated experience in Internet/Intranet infrastructure.
- Proven Knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
