Unit Pricing Controller/Lead

A Unit Pricing Lead/Controller is required on an interim basis for a Life & Pensions Firm on an interim basis. My client is looking for an experienced individual to start with them as soon as possible. You will be responsible for the preparation of daily unit pricing for the Society and unit pricing accuracy review of other colleagues. You will have ultimate responsibility to ensure pricing is produced in a timely and accurate manner on a daily basis.

PRINCIPAL TASKS TO INCLUDE:

- Prepares unit pricing for MGM Advantage. Checks unit pricing of other colleagues. Ensures that unit prices are accurate.
- A subject matter expert on the funds, their investments and correct pricing in the unit pricing system.
- Understands the unit pricing system and is responsible for its maintenance and for improvements to it.
- Proactively identifies, plans and implements unit pricing process improvements.
- Ensures that processes and procedures are documented and that such documentation is always up to date.
- Liaises with third parties, in particular: fund managers, custodians and system suppliers.
- Carries out fund Switches and withdrawals as required by the Society.
- Produces daily custodian reconciliations and issue log maintenance. Prepares Smartstream upload figures.
- Complies with MGM policies, for example, treating customers fairly and identify, manage and mitigate risks.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST DEMONSTRATE:

- Unit Pricing experience in a life insurance business
- Understanding of life insurance investment accounting
- Understanding of unit pricing IT systems
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
