UK Pensions Manager

Thales is looking to recruit a UK Pensions Manager on an initial 9 month contract based in Weybridge. b
This is an excellent development opportunity to work within the Thales Corporate Head Office. The UK Pensions Manager will work alongside the Secretary to the Trustees, whilst report directly to the Director of Compensation Benefits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

- In house management of DB and DC pension arrangements
- Trustee Secretarial duties for the DB Scheme c. 700 pensioner/deferred members
- Work collaboratively with the Secretary to the Trustees to manage the main DB Scheme from a Company perspective c. 20,000 member's incl. 1,800 active members
- Management of DC Governance c. 4,000 employees
- Management of communication strategy
- Thorough knowledge of the pension industry and pensions legislation
- Involvement in M namely HR, Legal, Finance, Trustees, Leadership and third party providers

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Pensions Management experience, either from a in house or in a consulting environment
- APMI qualification preferred, but not essential
- Experience of both DB and DC pension schemes are essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of PHI, Life and flexible benefits are desirable
