TSM Backup Engineer (40-60% Workload) (m/f)

IHRE AUFGABEN:

-Design backup solutions to meet the requirements of all regional customers, within frameworks specified by architecture
-Build and test solutions and document accordingly
-Investigate and resolve incidents impacting the backup estate, including complex problems
-Perform pro-active maintenance, including firmware, microcode, license keys, upgrades etc.
-Use tuning tools to optimize performance of the infrastructure, to ensure that agreed service levels are met
-Ensure adequate monitoring/alerting is in place to identify system issues
-Monitor utilization of the infrastructure, to ensure that capacity is available to meet planned requirements
-Undertake project activities, including Tech Lead function, as required
-Support the Infrastructure Delivery function (Offshore), and its further development

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

-Good management experience and a strong understanding of Tivoli Storage Manager
-Formal vendor-approved accreditation is advantageous
-Experience in technically leading large infrastructure projects
-In-depth knowledge of both SAN and also Backup & Recovery architectures and technology
-Extensive hands-on technical experience in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager in Windows environment (versions 6.2 and 7)
-Fluency in German and English is required
