TRANSMISSION PLANNING ENGINEER - OMAN
Sirius is looking for a TX Planner to be part of a LTE network deployment.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Design transmission networks for a LTE network
- Responsible for production of technical designs across existing transmission platforms including DWDM, SDH, PDH and Ethernet to fulfil project requirements
- Design high/medium capacity microwave links using microwave link planning tools
- Liaise with RF network teams to meet project requirements
- Perform LoS/Site surveys when required
- Produce documentation of high quality
Specific Knowledge and Skills
- BS Degree or equivalent in Telecoms Engineering/Electronic Engineering
- Excellent knowledge and experience in transmission network design
- Experience in microwave link planning
- Knowledge of SDH, DWDM and IP/Ethernet transport technologies
- Good communication skills Microsoft Office applications, Mapinfo
- Transmission Planning Tools - Pathloss, Atoll, TEMS LP, Ellipse
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Arabic language is preferred
- Experience with working in Oman or other ME countries.
